A Godparent/Sponsor serves as a role model for a child/adult approaching Baptism or Confirmation. They also assist parents in the raising of their child(ren) in the faith. Please know that a Godparent/Sponsor must be a practicing Catholic of at least 16 years of age who has received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, and if married, have done so sacramentally. If your Godparents/Sponsors have any questions, please have them speak with the pastor.
